Free advisory for turning your company data into a $100k-$10M payout

WhoBuysYourData.com is the No.1 most trusted advisor for companies licensing their data to AI labs. We find the right buyer, help you negotiate the terms and handle everything in between.

We don't buy your data, and you don't pay us anything.

We're advising hundreds of companies right now and talk directly with the C-suite at the data buyers and AI labs, so you get the insider view and the best terms.

Who's the buyer &
How will they use your data?

The buyers are AI data companies. They license records from established companies, clean them, and supply them to the frontier AI labs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and others).

There are 100+ companies that buy or license company data.

We only work with the 3 best ones, with micro1 being our favourite in most cases. We have vetted each one, closed real deals with them, and we talk directly to their C-suite.

Why they want your data

Improving AI comes down to three things. More compute, more energy and more data.

Compute

The chips and data centers that train and run AI models.

Energy

The electricity that powers those data centers.

Data

What the models learn from. The public internet has already been used, so this is now the bottleneck.

Trillions are going into compute and energy to meet the demand for AI, which is expected to grow 100x in the next 10 years.

Data is the problem. The AI labs have already trained their models on almost everything on the public internet, and they have run out of new data to learn from.

What they still don't have is how real companies work. That lives inside your emails, chats, documents and tools. That is why they are now spending tens of billions licensing data from companies like yours.

How the labs use your data

They remove every name and identifier, then combine your records with data from many other companies.

What they want is complete workflows, from A to Z. How a request comes in by email, gets logged in the CRM, is discussed in Slack, becomes a ticket and ends with an invoice.

They use it to train AI agents and to test how well their models handle real business work. That is why they want all your tools, not just your emails.

Why now

Right now (3 November 2026) company data is scarce, and the buyers are competing for it. It will not stay this way. Every company that licenses its records makes the next dataset a little less rare, and prices will go down fast. That is why the best time to license yours is now.

Buyers usually want all of it, apart from the sensitive data below. They want to see how work flows across your whole company, so the more complete your data, the bigger the payout. Leave tools out and the offer drops.

If your team runs AI agents, buyers license the records of their tasks too. micro1 pays $1M to $2M a year for them.

What stays out

Customer lists and pricing, privileged legal material, health and biometric data, payment and bank details, Social Security numbers, data about minors, and classified information.

How data is anonymized

FAQ

Who are the buyers, actually?

AI data companies. They license data from established companies, clean it and supply it to frontier AI labs like OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. There are 100+ of them. We only work with the 3 best. micro1 is our favourite in most cases. It has committed $1B to licensing company data. Your agreement is always with the buyer directly, and you meet their team before anything is shared.

We've already been contacted by other buyers. Should we compare offers?

Yes, and you should. Buyers differ on minimum size, countries, what data they take and how long their exclusivity lasts, so the same records can be worth different amounts. We tell you which buyers fit and what to compare before you sign anything.

What do you need from us to get a bid?

You can get a rough estimate from the calculator on this page. For a more accurate estimate, we need to get you to an actual buyer. We help you apply, and the buyer gives you a real number.

How much of our team's time does this take?

A total of 10 to 15 hours of your team's time across the entire process, in return for a payout of multiple six or seven figures.

How do we export our data?

Your team exports it from each tool you use, like email, chat, your CRM, support desk and project tools. Each tool has its own export. The buyer's engineers tell you exactly what to export and how, and we help along the way. It is a one-time export, not a live connection.

What about our client contracts and NDAs?

Some contracts limit how client information can be used. Check your biggest ones before you sign, and we'll show you what to look for.

Can a company that has shut down still license its data?

Yes. Archives from closed companies are in demand, and micro1 runs a separate program for companies that had 50+ employees at their peak with Slack or Teams history. SimpleClosure reported about 100 such deals in a year at $10k to $100k each.
